    Upgrade from v1803 to 1809 with BitLocker?


    At the moment, I am planning to hold off on v1809 since there are some issues with this version. Anyways, once the time comes that I decide and go ahead with this feature upgrade (or any feature upgrade), will BitLocker ask for the Recovery Key during the upgrade process? Do I need to suspend BitLocker first before performing any Windows 10 feature upgrade?

    Does anyone have experience with BitLocker during feature upgrade process?

    Need to turn off Bitlocker to install Windows 10

    Hi,

    We suggest doing the following steps again to resolve the issue. To complete the procedure, make sure that you have the following information:

    • You must be able to provide administrative credentials.
    • The drive must be BitLocker-protected.
    To suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption on an operating system drive, please follow the steps below:

    • Click Start, click Control Panel, click
      System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.
    • Click Suspend Protection for the operating system drive.
    • A message is displayed, informing you that your data will not be protected while BitLocker is suspended and asking if you want to suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption.
    • Click Yes to continue and suspend BitLocker on the drive.

    • Press the Windows key.
    • Type and enter BitLocker.
    • Click Turn on BitLocker.

    Microsoft:

    I've read that 1809 will be coming out very soon. What I want to know is when should I go up to 1809? When it comes out or should I wait to upgrade later?
