Windows 10: Microsoft Updates and Features Fail to Download?

For the past few months every new Windows 10 install I've done I've been unable to download updates from Microsoft.

This includes language packs and everything that tries to update from the store.

When a user tries to log off or shutdown it gives them a message stating language components installer is preventing log off or shutdown.

Our network administrator says nothing is being blocked by our firewall but that doesn't change the fact that I can leave our enterprise network and download from any other internet connection with no problem. I've done packet captures monitored TCP connections and can't find anything definitive causing the problem.

Since I don't have access to see the firewall configuration can anyone tell me if there's a way to prove traffic is being blocked by the firewall or ISP one way or another.

Quite a few new downloads popped up today on the Microsoft Download Center. Here's a list:

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

 

Installing update after downloading it through Microsoft Update Catalog

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

There is no need to install update separately it will be automatically installed when you download the update, I suggest you to go to Control panel and check whether the update is installed are not.

Follow the steps to check for Update.

  Open Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Programs and Features.
  
• 
  Click on View installed updates.
  
• 
  Check for the Update in the list.
