Windows 10: Is Windows 10 update 1809 Pro different than the Consumer Edition?

I have Windows 10 Pro. Automatic update tried to download and install "Feature Update to Windows 10 (consumer editions, version 1809, en-us. The install failed generating several errors the last of which is Error ox80246010.


Is the Pro version of 1809 different than the Consumers edition?


Is the error(s) I am receiving caused by a consumer edition trying to be installed on a pro installation?


Given the many roll out issues of 1809, I am concerned that I will forever have problems installing updates (which happened on another Windows 10 computer of mine).


I do not know how the updates "thinks" that my system is a consumer vs. pro version.

Windows 10 1809 update release

Insiders are testing a modified release of Windows 10 1809 feature update and the release will happen in due time. The Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro N edition (1809 build) will be available for download once the feature update is pushed.



The new official release of the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro 1809 N edition will be listed under
Media Feature Pack list for Windows N editions once released.

Windows 10 pro edition

Windows 10 (consumer edition), version 1803 (Updated Aug 2018)


Product codes are interchangeable / usable on both the Business and Consumer ISO's. Just FYI. I have some or my keys listed for both. My 10 Pro keys can be used for either ISO for example. And even if I install with the Consumer edition ISO, I can change key to Enterprise.
