  1. Hello, I have a BIG problem with my Windows 10.

Yesterday, I found out after I got back home, that I CANNOT open Settings, I cannot find "Updates" section in Conrol Panel, also - 3 months ago I found a command for the Powershell, that removes the Windows Store and it's apps. It worked back then. Since now. I have tried EVERY command, listed in many sites (i.e. - Powershell commands, making new user with admin rights, switching to that account), also tried the following in CMD with Admin Rights :

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

NOT working at all. The first one is okay, it says operation completed. the second one starts showing "image" and then numbers, no percentage, no nothing. And I cannot even type while the second command is entered. After that it says : "Error code: 605 The specified buffer contains ill-formed data."

    Also tried - sfc/scannow

Not working at all. Stops at 30% and says : "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."

    Powershell with Admin Rights command - PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage *immersivecontrolpanel*).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"

It says : Get-AppxPackage : Index not found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131124)

At first (before noticing that Settings and other apps don't work) in Counter-Strike : Global Offensive, every time I tried to connect to a server it says "VAC problem , either your computer blocks the connection to VAC, or you are modifying the game files" (!?) , when I saw that multiple times, I just thought that there was an app that blocks the connection (like CCleaner, IOBit Uninstaller, etc.), so I uninstalled those, also, added an exception to the firewall for Steam Services.exe and CSGO.exe // Nothing happens. Verified cache of game, uninstalled, installed again. Nothing works. That doesn't really matter now, as the problem is MORE serious with my Windows 10.

I don't know what to do with my problem. Nothing works. I cannot even perform a system restore or reinstallation of Windows. It says "There was a problem resetting your PC, no changes were made". I cannot even open Advanced system settings in Control Panel - "C:\Windows\system32\srrstr.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x000012f." /Bad Image/ ...

Strangely, the Calculator app works. How is that possible? When I tried to do multiple system restores, it says "System restore did not complete successfully. Your computer's system files and settings were not changed." "Could not access a file (C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\v3.0\System.Workflow.ComponentModel.dll) from the restore point

I know it is in Bulgarian, but on top of the image I wrote that in English. So you could understand more clearly.

When I tried to open Control Panel and create new user, it just opens the Settings app and it crashes. I previously tried to create a user while using CMD commands. That worked.

Commands were - net user /add [username] [password]; new localgroup administrators [username] /add

Creating new user seemed to work, but when I switched to the new user account with Admin rights, Settings couldn't be opened again. So I deleted the new user. Nothing seems to work. What should I do? I checked for viruses and malware, but there was NOTHING. I have no idea what happened with my Windows 10. Can you please help me?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

This issue may occur due to the outdated display driver or come file are corrupt. For now do not re-install Windows 10, try the below steps and check if it helps resolve the issue.

Step 1. Update the display driver.

I would suggest you to update Display driver. Follow the below steps:

    • Press Windows key + X and click on Device manager.
    • Locate for Display Adaptor and expand it.
    • Right click on the adaptor and click on update.
    Step 2. (Unspecified error 0x8000ffff),

For the issue error 0x8000ffff, I suggest you to check if the Volume Shadow Copy service is running on your computer or not.
To check for the same follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + R, type “services.msc” on the box and hit Enter.
    • Locate for “Volume Shadow Copy” and check if the service is started.
    • If not ‘Start’ the service by right clicking on it.
If the service was already started, I would suggest you to stop the service and restart the same.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance with Windows, let us know and will be glad to help.
