Windows 10: [15 Nov 2018] Internet connection breaks off about 2 mins after turning computer on, then I...

Hi all,


I got this new computer 3 months ago with Windows 10, and it has been serving me rather well with no internet connection issues.


However, about a few days ago, early this week (12 to 14 Nov), there was a Windows 10 update.


After that update, I realised that every time, when I turn on the computer, the internet connection will work for about 2 minutes. I can surf the internet, stream Twitch or Youtube videos with no issues.


Then suddenly, it will disconnect.


And when I check the wifi icon, it says that I am still connected to my main wifi channel. There was no exclamation mark to say the internet was not working.


Then what I have to do is to disconnect manually, then connect to the main wifi channel again. After that, the internet comes back and never breaks off.


This is a mild annoyance which I can fix manually, but having to do this every time during start-up is very annoying.


Is anyone getting this problem as well, and is there a solution to this?


By the way, if it helps, I'm using Freedom App, which causes me to use a Proxy server on start-up. It has never given me any issues though.

Connecting computer with no internet connection to network printer

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
   
   
   

 

internet connection problem- help

my internet connection suddenly failed about 2 days ago. we had to power cycyle the the router and modem. the other computers on the same router network were able to connect. my computer upstairs still had the same problem. i am using my laptop now with the same eathernet connection my computer that doesnt get a connection with and the internet works fine on the laptop. it just randomly stoped working and idk what to do now. the cable is fine because i am able to use the laptop on it and the laptop doesnt get wireless so i know its not the cable. my computer is in the system specs. ive tried setting defualts in bios and that doesnt work either. ive turned my firewall off and that doesnt help either. any suggestions?

 

Loosing internet connection


Odd issue, internet keeps disconnecting, sometimes only 15-30min between sometimes hours between.
The wireless shows as connected and diagnostic doesnt help.
only thing that helps is to disable and enable it OR wait for a few min and it usually comes back on its own.

Whats going on? anyone got suggestion?
Disabled power management for it already
