    I havent used my surface book in a few days, and now the keyboard light up, but the screen...


    I detached the screen for a less than half hour to show something to my spouse and put it back; now when I came to use it again, the only thing that lights up is the keyboard, but nothing happens with the screen, it is dead. What can I do? thank you!

    The keyboard backlighting will not turn off on a Surface Book 1

    The keyboard backlighting will not turn off on a Surface Book 1

    F1 and F2 keys will not adjust the keyboard lighting up or down. It's stuck permanently on. The other F keys like volume up/down/mute etc work fine.

    I've tried F1 and F2 with the Alt, Win, Fn, Ctrl all on and off. No luck getting the keyboard lighting to turn off.

    The keyboard light will turn off when the screen detaches, but come right back on when re-attached.
