Windows 10: Can't create a virtual desktop

When I first got my new Surface Pro 6, I was able to create virtual desktops, but now they're gone and I can't find any way to create them again. When I click on the Task View key, all I see is the time line, without the "Create Virtual Desktop" link. Pressing Window + Ctrl + D does nothing.


Have they somehow been disabled? I can't find any setting that governs whether I can make new virtual desktops or not, and every tutorial assumes the "create" button is still there.

Can't add new virtual desktop

In PC, you can use the below shortcut keys:

• "Ctrl" + "Windows" + "D" - creates new virtual desktop.
• "Ctrl" + "Windows" + "F4" - deletes current virtual desktop.
• "Ctrl" + "Windows" + "Left/Right" - to navigate between the virtual desktop.
