  1. I keep having multiple apps randomly crash on windows 10

For months now I have had applications that crash without a visual clue of what's happening. The event viewer seems to point to ntdll each time and every time.

Yesterday, I spent 5 or 6 hours with Microsoft technical support with 4 different persons. we got to a point where we got these applications to start except one. I created a restore point before doing anything else and I started trying to find the problem with the remaining app that didn't start. This app was now pointing to OpenGL version not being recent enough. I found my display adapter was using Microsoft basic Display adapter and I have an old NVIDIA QUADRO FX1800. Essentially, I had Window update the display driver which it did by installing something that said NVIDIA.

Now none of the application we spent the day trying to fix, they all crash again. I said to myself, no problem I'll restore to the previous restore point, which I did. I saw the Microsoft basic Display driver was restored but again none of my "trouble" making apps started correctly. This is beginning to become ridiculous and obviously I don't know what to do. On top of that, I have to wait until 9:00 am local time to talk to a person, another 3 hours totally wasted.

All of these trouble seem to have a common denominator ntdll.dll and it seems to be strongly correlated to updates done via Windows update.

Kind of one it works fine for a few days or weeks and then they don't again but always after some update.

I keep having multiple apps randomly crash on windows 10

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
