Windows 10: Skype For business sends call to my computer not my phone (both Open)

We use Skype for business here for instant chat and I use mine for phone calls, however when someone calls me to more often then not sends the request on my laptop and get no option on my phone to pickup the call, sometimes it will come up on my phone but most the time just a prompt on my laptop.

might be wrong forum to ask but hoping someone might know

Summary

The Windows Phone app for Skype for Business is being retired. After this change takes effect, new users will no longer be able to download the app from the Microsoft Store, and the app will no longer be supported.

Although Microsoft continues to support Windows 10 Mobile, we are not focused on building new features for the system. We will continue to invest in Skype for Business mobile apps for iOS and Android and also in desktop apps for Windows and Mac.

How does this affect me?

Existing users of the Windows Phone app for Skype for Business will continue to be able to use the app. Moreover, they will continue to be able to re-download the app from the Windows Store.

New users who need to install the app from the Windows Store, will have the following experience:

Beginning in August 2018, Skype for Business on Windows Phone 8.1 will no longer be available for download.

Beginning in December 2019, Skype for Business on Windows 10 Mobile, will no longer be available for download.

The Skype for Business app may continue to work after these dates, but this is not guaranteed. This app will no longer receive updates or support.

What do I have to do to prepare for this change?

If you need to continue using Skype for Business on Windows Phone, we recommend that you install the app before the dates that are cited above.

Summary

Effective May 20, 2018, the Windows Phone apps for Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Yammer will be retired. Starting on that date, these apps will no longer be available for download from Microsoft Store, and Microsoft will no longer support them.

While Microsoft continues to support Windows 10 Mobile, we are not focused on building new features for the system. We will continue to invest in the Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Yammer mobile apps for iOS and Android, and also in desktop apps for Windows and Mac.

Moving forward, Windows Phone users will have the best experience by using Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Yammer in the mobile web browser.

The Microsoft Teams app will no longer work, and users will receive an error message when they try to connect.

Going forward, Windows Phone users can connect to Skype for Business, Yammer, and Microsoft Teams by accessing them as follows:

Skype for Business: We continue to invest in the Skype for Business mobile apps for iOS and Android, and also in desktop applications for Windows and Mac.

Microsoft Teams: Users can access Microsoft Teams by using the mobile browser.

Yammer: Users can access Yammer using the mobile browser.

Skype for business stuck at splash screen on startup

Thanks.

Yes, at the moment, I have to open the Task Manager every few minutes on the laptop and PCs to kill Skype for Business, so that's no workable solution.

As for uninstalling Skype for Business, so I can then download and install the regular Skype; under Apps & features I have "Get Skype" (32,0 KB) and "Messaging + "Skype tools" (53,0 KB) - but no "Skype for Business" I can uninstall : (

What else can I do? There surely must be a way to remove this useless app?

Just a suggestion... Do you have Microsoft Office installed? If you do Skype for Business is listed under your Microsoft Office folder in your start folder/ All apps. (that's where mine is listed) Right click on it, then choose Uninstall .

You Can install the regular Skype even if Skype for Business is installed.....I have both installed.
