Windows 10: Hotspot sharing not working

Good Afternoon,



After the last windows update, I've been finding impossible to share my pc internet connection with my phone.



Whenever my phone connects to the hotspot I get the message that there isn't any internet connection, and in the hotspot settings I can't see my phone being connected to it



So I selected the network that I want to share the connection, selected properties ->sharing and there I cannot change the network that is already selected (to put the one I want) and I don't know why.



I tried multiple times to update all the drivers for the adapter and for the Wi-Fi board. I allowed the sharing in the change advance sharing settings and I even disabled windows firewall.



Does anyone know why or what should I do?

To enable Internet sharing/Mobile hotspot on your phone, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Settings.
• Tap on Network & wireless.
• Tap Mobile hotspot.
• Tap on the On/Off slider to enable the Internet sharing/Mobile hotspot on your phone.

Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot Not working

Hi,

Your Bluetooth connection may be enabled which prevents you from setting up your mobile hotspot. To have this addressed, we suggest turning off the Bluetooth connection and see if you're able to set up your mobile hotspot. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings and select Devices.
• Click Bluetooth, then toggle it OFF.

Once done, check if you can now turn on your computer's mobile hotspot. Let us know how it goes.

Accidently disabled myPublicWifi hotspot in networks and sharing centre

To further assist you regarding your concern, we suggest that you manage the hotspot settings on your PC. To do this, you may follow the steps provided on this
link. Once you’re on the page, proceed with the steps and
complete the process. After completing the steps, you may check if the issue persists.

Additionally, if the issue continues, you may check the Advanced sharing settings from the
Control Panel to identify if the issue is not related to it. To do this, you may follow the steps below:

• Click Start, type Control Panel and press
  Enter.
• Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
• On the left-side pane of the window, click Change advanced sharing settings.
• Expand the Private network profile, select the Turn on network discovery option under the
  Network discovery section.
• You may also select the Turn on network discovery option from the
  Guest or Public and Domain (current profile) network profile by expanding them one by one.
• Once you’re done, click Save changes.
