So I don't quite know how these people think but I became so much skeptical to do upgrades as honestly all I gain of em are more disk space consumed , more darkened interface and yet important features removed .

Let me review some of the important features I personally started missing over version updates over the past few years . I am listing those important to me I am sure you people have more to add but meh those are my concern .

    First release
We lost the ability to track internet traffic/quota used that was showing next to all Wifi hotspots , they give you instead some over all monitor of internet traffic used that is based on 1-30 month cycle and un-modifiable where we need that actually as not all isps use 1-30 cycle .

    1703
Graphics started running faster for me that I praised here in forum , also video encoding , however it was the era when windows update got all hunged and the internet was filled with failed to update messages with nothing really working to fix them .

    1709
Graphics performance and video encoding hindered greatly but windows updates became smoother , 3D builder app was replaced by a joke app named 3D paint , Reader app was removed and we were told you can use your internet browser instead , why have a dedicated reader . Lite weight outlook express was deprecated as they saw it was useless neglecting that the majority of mobile software sync/backup suites relied on it to save contacts but then I guess this was microsoft's way to making life difficult for android user , a battle microsoft lost immediately after .

    1803
Microsoft decided to legacy out alot of hardware where you find audio , game controllers and graphics card either non functional or forcefully downgraded to generic drivers losing all their cool features something leading the majority of those who faced that to revert back to previous build and for the rest to live with hindered features as they never knew what hit em . We lost Groove Music , we lost People , we lost HomeGroup which was hilarious as this was the friendly mean to share files among a home network without the need of the assistance of a network administrator (LOL) and I did laugh alot at the suggestion page microsoft started explaining alternatives where it stated : You can mail your files to other pcs (LOL) or use OneDrive (Why they fail to understand the majority of the world internet speed is rubbish and has quota ?) and like that wasn't enough they removed software restriction from group policy , so if you are in a company that has a domain , an administrator now have to move pc to laptop to lock all apps the company don't want you to run Microsoft downgrade , we are on our way to Windows 95 :)

    1809
The launch was a failure , some lost their data , some were never able to log back in again falling into boot loops etc and had to reinstall windows , and the survivors noticed a lot of sync options have changed or deprecated , Hologram app was lost .

So me looking back at the things we bleed update to another I am seeing this : if your happy with what you have just don't upgrade , cause apparently microsoft doesn't want you happy Microsoft downgrade , we are on our way to Windows 95 :)

    Cheers
    *Cool

If you are happy and you know it clap your hands *Party

    :)

Microsoft Windows 7 Will Allow Downgrades too

Even though there's still some time left before the official release of Windows 7, Microsoft - the creator of this OS - confirmed today that just like some Windows Vista distributions could be downgraded to Windows XP with ease, the same will apply to Windows 7. General users of Windows 7 will be given the option of downgrading right over Vista to Windows XP, a Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed.
"This is not the first time that Microsoft has offered downgrade rights to a version other than its immediate predecessor," the spokesperson told Betanews, "and our Software Assurance customers can always downgrade to any previous version of Windows."
Microsoft hasn't detailed exactly how downgrade rights will work with Windows 7 - for now we know that Windows 7 will be downgradable to either Windows Vista or Windows XP - the rest of the details remain unclear.

Map Windows 7 Shared Folder to Win 95

Okay .. I figured it all out.

Configuring Windows 95 so it can map Windows 7 shared folders.

You need to update Windows 95 so that it can utilitze NTLMv2 network protocols (and use 128 bit encryption for authentification).
Nothing needs to be done on the Windows 7 machine other than sharing a drive or folder.

On the Windows 95 Machine you will need a local account with the same name and password as on the Win7 machine or in the domain.
The Windows 95 computer does not have to be a member computer in the domain (ie. does not need domain authentification)

    1) Install the Distributed File System client for Windows 95 (dfs41w95.exe)
    2) Install WinSock 2.0 (w95ws2setup.exe)
    3) Install Microsoft Dial-Up Network 1.3 (MSDUN13.exe)
(I wasn't sure what msdun13 does to the TCP/IP stack so I reinstalled winsock2.0 again)
    4) Install Internet Explorer 4.01 SP2 / 32 bit (ie40sp2.exe ... you need this or step #6 will termintate without installing)
    5) Install Microsoft Installer 2.0 (InstMsiA.exe .. you need this so Windows 95 knows what to do with the .msi file in the next step)
    6) Install Distributed Services Client for Windows 9x (dsclient9x.msi)
    7) Go into the registry editor (regedit) and go to ...
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control
    Create a Key named Lsa
Create a DWORD in Lsa named LMCompatilbility with a hex value of "3".
    8) Reboot once more.

Mapping a network drive on a Windows 7 machine should now work.

bsod after downgrading from windows 10 to windows 7

    Hello there, tom.
    I would try these:
    • Get your Windows 7 media device and reinstall Windows
    • Try auto-repair
    • Follow these steps:

    1. Put in your Windows 10 media device, boot into the USB
    2. Select your language and keyboard input, then click next.
    3. Click "Repair this computer"
    4. Go to "Advanced options"
    5. click system restore
    6. Select a restore point before you downgraded to Windows 7.
    Hope I helped!
