  1. Windows 10 Upgrade degraded my download speed. Help

    Hi everyone!

I've recently had the courage to upgrade my windows software from windows 8.1 to windows 10 but it has been causing me a lot of issues lately. My internet is extremely fast but my downloads seem to take over an hours just to download files sizes at around 300 mb? I'm extremely confused and the system lags a lot. Just attempting to save a picture onto my desktop lags the system a little. I have attached an image of my internet speed.

However, when I'm actually downloading a software, the speed is at 406kb/s and sometimes even lower.

I am a video editor and I need to run heavy file sizes on my system but ever since I've upgraded, windows 10 has been so undependable lately that I'm afraid I might not be able to carry out my work in the future.

    Here are my device specs:

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600k CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50GHz

    RAM: 16.0 GB

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

    Edition: Windows 10 Pro

    Version: 1809

    System specs:

(I can't remember a lot cause I built it 2 years ago based on a Youtube channel)

    Motherboard: Asus Z170 ProGaming

Graphics: MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (Version 399.24)

    SSD: Samsung EVO 256GB

I've tried to clear disk space on my SSD, I've tried to speed up my cpu by clearing temporary caches. Any advise for me will be appreciated. I am an extreme noob so please be basic about your instructions if possible. Thank you!

    :)

  2. Windows 10 download speed issues

    Try this method:
    • First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
    • locate and select “Update and Security“.
    • in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
    • In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
    • Turn off Updates from more than one place.
Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Windows 10 Upgrade degraded my download speed. Help

DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 10 NOW - Upgrade and ISO direct from microsoft

Click to expand... Yeah I went to that site, why do I need to buy a key?
    I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
    is that causing the problem?

Question about flash drive speed degradation.: On my system, flash drives slow down with age. The worst example is a two or three month old 3.0 drive, which I've been using for the virtual drives of VMs, sometimes writes at less than 1MB/s. Is this kind of thing normal, and would switching to an SSD solve it? 172499
