Windows 10: Start menu's search randomly stops working after update to 1809

Hi,

We rolled out 1809 in our company couple of days ago.
After update I noticed annoying problem with start menu.
When I hit win-key and start to type a program's name (outl..., mstsc etc) the start menu grays out and goes unresponsive. It comes back to life if I hit ESC, but when I try to type something again, it grays out again.

The problems goes away for awhile if I reboot the machine, but I cant keep rebooting several times a day, since this has a huge impact in my work.

Anyone had this problem? Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?

I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps suggested from the Microsoft helps article like: Check for updates, Restart the computer, run the troubleshooter, create test user account and check if it helps.

I'm not recommending those approaches.. I merely cited them as examples of others whose similar problems were not resolved.. FYI only.
As far as I know the Powershell commands remain broken.. until someone's brave enough to try after an MS update...*really

Do work thru the steps in sequence, don't try all at once, just logically in the hope of identifying a conflict.
