    How Do I use CHM files in Office Excel 365


    I've created a VBA form in Office Excel 365.

    I've also created a help file (CHM format), and trying to integrate it into my form so that F1 will use it, and the "What's this" button will use it.

    So far I can't see how to do this; it seems that Office Excel 365 is still using the deprecated WinHelp style help format even though Microsoft deleted the winhelp.exe from Windows many versions ago.

    Is there a way for the default help format in Office Excel 365 to use CHM?

    We appreciate your response, Keith. We suggest that you update Office 365 and see if it'll make a difference. You can simply do it by opening any Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Here are the steps on how to do so:

    • Open Office app, then click on File.
    • Look for Account, then click on Update.
    • Once done, restart your computer.
