Windows 10: Bluescreen 0x80070017 error

Hi,


I get the 0x80070017 error message. my computer will not boot, it will not enter windows, it just start diagnosing the pc, then automatic repair.


At this point I tried to restore to previous, it get this error message 0x008007017 when the says it can't restore a precious point.


I ran chkdsk twice, and tried to boot in safe mode, but it won't boot to safe mode.


What other steps can I take?

Disk Issues/ Error 0x80070017

What is the exact error code that you receive? Is it 0x80070017 or 0x80070012?

This issue may occur if there is a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) failure during the update process. This failure may occur if the received file is not the file that is expected by Windows Update

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it help:

Method 1:

I suggest you to run the Chkdsk.exe tool to check the disk for errors. Follow the steps below for the same:

• 
  Press Windows key+ R
  
• 
  Type chkdsk C: press Enter
  

Method 2:

You may also rename the Windows Update components folder and verify the result.

a) Press "Windows key + X" and click "Command Prompt (Admin)".

b) Type "net stop wuauserv" and press enter.

c) Type "rename c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old" and press enter.

d) Type "net start wuauserv"and press enter.
