Windows 10: Factory Reset Now Asking for “Other User”

Hello!


Today, my boyfriends grandmother gave me her old new laptop from about 12/2016. After he helped her get her stuff off and onto her new one, he reset it to factory setting. After it rebooted for a few hours, it began asking for “Other User” to login. We have tried his grandmothers old user but that doesnt seem to work, nor does my own microsoft account.

I read some community pages that instructed people to: Hold Shift + Press Restart > Troubleshooting > Advanced Options > Prompt > Type something*


When I do these options, I get to advanced options and it tells me “Must login to Admin for rights but, there is no Admin on this PC.” ?????


Does anyone know why this is happening?? How to fix it? Or If it can even be fixed??

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.


First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

Break command list: Break Commands

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".

 

Cannot login after Factory reset stuck on Other Users page

As per the information that you have provided, I would suggest that you perform the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Follow the steps to enable Built-in Administrator account:

• If on Windows 7 press F8
  upon restart after the manufacturers logo appears. If on Windows 8,8.1 press
  Shift key and then Restart to access Safe Mode.
• Then access command prompt (admin) and type:
  net user administrator /active:yes (To enable Built –in Administrator account give the command Active: No).
• Then press ENTER.

Step 2: Administrator Account.

Log in through the in built admin account, create a new administrator account and check if you can log in. If you are able to log into the new account, deactivate the inbuilt admin account.

Factory Reset and other user created

Hi,

I had purchased a new lenovo laptop with preinstalled windows 10. After using 5 to 6 days, the system became little bit slow. So I did factory reset and post the process had been completed, I got a login page where it is asking for other user log in credentials
and even the wifi/ LAN is not working to connect to the internet. Could please help me out how to get rid of this problem.
