Windows 10: Win 10 1809 bug?

I had win automatic download install caused me a great anger and gnashing of teeth. I checked the update page and saw a request to restart to complete the installation of win 1809. I found where I could delay the installation for 24 hours. when I got back to the download page it said that it was would complete the installation tomorrow at 5:57. I set about like a wild man to make a backup before the installation. Ten minutes later it completed the installation and restarted the compute les than five minutes into the backup. Sure enough It installed and had a problem and I don't have a backup.


I upgraded 8,1 Pro to win 10 pro and have not had any real problems (not counting the problems that I created). A very short time I could not to some of the perks a Pro version gives you. I went to settings, About and found the upgrade had somehow changed my windows Pro 1803 to a 1809 Home version. That explained why some of the things I was able to do in Win 10 Pro I could not do. So now ended up with a Windows 10 Home Edition (which I don't like) and the 1809 update (which I thought would no be released sometime in the future). Can anybody tell me how to know if the 1809 that I have installed is the newer updated or is it the version that we were told not to install?


Does anyone that can help me return to the Pro version of Windows with out charging me $99.00. Is there a patch or something to help me out.

Win 10 1803 to 1809 update

Good day one and all.

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1809 a while back, but my laptop/notebook running Win 10 version 1803 (As of a Check for updates today 15 Nov 2018 6:30 AM) still hasn't updated to 1809.

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1809 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Updates in general on the laptop are coming through as available, for example, yesterday (14th Nov 2018) the "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64 based Systems (KB4467702)" arrived and was installed okay.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Win 10, 1809 installed, will not boot.

Win 10, 1809 installed but would not reboot. Removed updated version (1809) and all is well now. Ran "Fix windows" in search block and the results are as follows: "Service registration is missing or corrupt". How do I resolve this problem?

Some characteristic's are: little or no use of right mouse button. WIFI is connected but no internet. Pressing the right mouse button in "SETTING" flashes on than off within two seconds and no response ( white screen ).

Any suggestions or fix's would be appreciated.
