  1. How to extract Microsoft Store apps including the Store app itselft from a wim file?

The title describes it very well. I am looking to do a custom windows instalation media for a private network. I want to be able to extract the Microsoft.WindowsStore_(version number) package and implement it in a different wim file or to the running OS. I am searching all over the internet and to the question "how to download microsoft store" I always find answers like, "it is part of the OS" or "it cannot be done", etc. So there is a tool called Dism that is actually integrated in the OS and possibly can do that task. However I am not a developer or a code savy but Im familiarize with this things, just not enought with dism. I just want to extract windows app packages (the default ones like calculator, alarms and clock, mail, etc) from a wim file to another using dism. It could be very cool to know how to do the same with windows updates embeded in the wim since the computers wont be exposed to the internet they cannot check for windows updates. I also want to be able to remove the store completely and add it if needed. So the best way to do it is through dism but need some directions in the matter. Thank you! I hope somebody can answer this question. Also let me know if I am not being really specific. If there is any way to do the same with a different tool it is welcome, however it needs to be able to apply said packages or updates to the running OS (I am more interested on this one due to the setup of the computer private network), or wim images to create an install ISO. And again, internet is not an option for any of the computers due to the nature of the data that will be store in them.

    :)

Microsoft is purging a lot of low quality apps from the Windows Store

"Microsoft is sending emails to some Windows Store developers informing them that their apps have been removed from the Store for violating its quality standards."

"Neowin reports that app developers have been receiving these emails over the past couple of days:

In its latest review of the Store, Microsoft is evaluating if the published apps are good enough to be listed in the Windows Store. This includes publicly available apps as well as private beta apps. Additionally, Microsoft is also asking developers to delete any promotional campaigns for their apps to prevent advertising charges. Similarly, app name reservations are also being nullified; which means that if your app is unpublished, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to republish it under the same name.

Officially, the policies for the Microsoft Store says that apps must have "distinct and informative metadata" and "provide a valuable and quality user experience". There are also some specific standards that must be in the apps, including having a name that is not similar to another app or device, along with offering a description that is accurate about its features and functions.

There have certainly been many Windows Store users who have complained over the years about the large number of apps published that are clones of other apps or ones that are simply poorly made. Hopefully, this new move by Microsoft will help to curb these issues, at least for now.

How to extract Microsoft Store apps including the Store app itselft from a wim file?

Apple Claims Steam Link App Violates App Store Guidelines

Look... the Steam app "violates" the App Store rules because Apple is coming out with something similar. You can't have a competitor operating in your own App Store.

Wat? Steam app is mostly Windows already. They don't need a Windows 10 app. Windows S is dead, you mean Windows 10 in S mode? S mode is for locked down environments like schools, demos, low spec computers, etc.

Don't know how we got to talking about Steam on Microsoft Store...
