    Hi,

    I have a pressing issue that has popped-up in the last week with the "user" account only.

    Admin account is not affected.


    #1. Documents opened in Word, PP, or Excel show up as "Restricted" and can not be printed (printing is possible as Admin).

    I've uninstalled and re-stalled the printer but this does not help. In addition, account sharing is Okay.


    #2. All Office products i.e. Word, PP, or Excel show on the upper right side "Sign In."

    Not sure why this has started to show up all of a sudden and want to know how to delete this.

    Not interested in having any documents shared via Microsoft Accounts.


    (Again, this does not show up when working as "Admin").


    Our computer is shared so it's important that the "user" account resumes to its original status.

    Autosave documents in Word, Excel, Powerpoint


    My version (Office 365 Proplus latest) is offering Autosave only for documents on Onedrive, and there you have option to save versions.

    But if Office is acting like this for you, you should send feedback to MS immediately. It's not what I would want to do from my favorite Office suite.


    Good practice would be, to first make a copy of document, and then start to edit it... but we all do like you described…
    Edit: sorry, another edit. There are additional saving options under Advanced. Maybe check "Always save backup" and disable saving in background:

    Not quite sure what you want to do -- drop downs etc in EXCEL seem OK and the "Recent documents" in EXCEL gives you a decent number of your recently accessed files.
