Windows 10: Microsoft Partners harrasing in the name SAM Programme . Preventing me from buying the...

Hi Microsoft ,


Please help me as i am stuck in a very difficult situation & being bullied by Microsoft Software Asset Management Programme Partners .


On 4th December i get a mail for Mircrosoft SAM Programme asking me to buy the following licences .

They metioned in mail to conduct an internal audit & send them a report for licence shortfalls so that they can provide m a quote on the licences i need to buy .

• Licenced Windows on PC ’s: 8

# INVOICE attached for 3 ThinkCentre PC’s + 5 Volume Licences

• Licence Shortfall ( Unactivated Windows under Grace Time): 4

WINDOWS SERVER

• Total Win Servers – 2 ( Windows Server 2012 R2 )
• Could Based VM Service providers – NextGen, YRHost
• 2 CAL Licences are covered by both Vendors from their End .
• Monthly payment invoice for Windows Server 2012 R2 attached
• No Licence shortfall recorded

SQL Server Express Edition

• Total PC: 12
• SQL Server EXPRESS edition ( download for free from Microsoft Website ) installed on – 7 PC
• Queries regarding Licence shortfall for SQL Server, as the service is free for production environments up to 10 GB , as per Mircrosoft .

Visual Studio Professional

• Total PC: 12
• Visual Studio Professional ( showing Licenced under HELP Section ) Installed on PC’s – 4
• Licence shortfall probability ( no record found for licence purchase )
• Recommendation: Microsoft Cloud-Based Monthly Subscription 45$/Month for Visual Studio Professional, under Company's Microsoft Account.

Microsoft Office

• Total PC : 12
• Microsoft Office 2010 Installed on : 2 PC ( Employee personal Laptop + 1 Desktop )
• Licence Shortfall ( for unactivated Office ) : 2
• Licence Requirement : 5
• Recommendation : 5 Licences of Office 365

Total Required Licences :



Windows 7 Professional: 4 Licences

Visual Studio Professional : 4 Licences / Monthly subscription .

Microsoft Office : 5 Licences for Office 365

They reverted back saying the figures are not matching with their Data . I dont understand why . They started mailing us that they would like to conduct an audit . When i met their representative this the list he provided .

He started threating us that , we cannot buy anything less than this . This is ridiculous & my company doesn't need so much licences .

Clearly his assumptions in the first mail were wrong . And so are the count in the 3rd Mail , after he visited us .

We wish to be a genuine Microsoft Customer . We are glad we conducted an internal audit . we got to know about licence shortfalls . Hence for security reasons , i need to buy genuine Windows Licence , format unlicenced PC's & Use them . We already bought New Windows Licence after conducting internal audit . He is not allowing us to Install it . threatening us for LLC Audit , if we do it .


He says Microsoft will file a court case for doing it , because i formatting PC , after getting their SAM Mail . That i am somehow starting to clean the evidence and all .

I got the mail from Bretelssman Martketing Services .


Please Help me Microsoft , as to how to handle it


Also please tell me if Microsoft SQL Express & Mircrosoft Visual Studio Community Free for Commercial & Production use in my Company .

We have a serious problem. Under the terms of
the EULA - is required to be a partner
of Microsoft. On our pages
are not written anywhere that we are authorized partner.
It says: we are a registered company in the
Microsoft Partner Network as a reseller.

Hey Sean, what company are you trying to buy from? Your best and safest bet would be to just buy a legit copy from Microsoft

there are a lot of sites that scam you by claiming to be a Microsoft Partner.
