Lenovo Unveils the ThinkPad P40 Yoga Mobile Workstation

Today, at Autodesk University 2015, Lenovo unveiled the ThinkPad P40 Yoga, a high-performing mobile workstation that helps unleash the full power of professional creativity. The Lenovo ThinkPad P40 Yoga delivers a first-class digital sketching experience with the ultimate in mobile workstation performance and reliability.

From digital artists storyboarding the latest Hollywood blockbuster to engineers designing the next hot new car, creative professionals need to both sketch their designs and bring those designs to life. To do this, users typically to purchased two systems - a tablet to deliver the sensitivity and accuracy of a premium sketching experience and a mobile workstation to render designs in powerful applications.









Designing with Power
As the first-ever multimode mobile workstation, the ThinkPad P40 Yoga offers the versatility to work across four modes-laptop, stand, tent and tablet-giving professionals the flexibility to do more no matter the use. The system provides the utmost in sketching precision through a highly responsive pen and touchscreen powered by the Wacom Active ES technology, offering a full, 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity on a high-res (2560 x 1440) IPS display. The newest addition to the Lenovo ThinkStation P Series, the ThinkStation P310, builds on the success of the Lenovo ThinkStation P300, offering an entry-level machine with the advanced technology of a high-end workstation. Featuring the new Intel Xeon E3-1200v5 and the latest NVIDIA GPU technology, the system also doubles the memory capacity of previous entry-level workstations, offering up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and support for FLEX drives with Samsung M.2 NVMe SSDs.

New ThinkPad YOGA and ThinkCentre Tiny Transform Business Computing

A recent Lenovo survey of more than 6,000 businesses suggested that security, mobility and reliability were amongst the top pain points today and more than a quarter plan to introduce convertible devices. Data from the Lenovo survey showed that 53% of employees work from home at least some of the time, 61% are required to travel for business and 46% are aged between 18 and 34 years. Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 Tiny Breaks Records
The original ultra-small factor desktop, ThinkCentre Tiny remains unmatched for the combination of size, performance, reliability and an unmatched selection of mounting and expansion options. In particular, introducing the new Lenovo Pro WiDi adapter making wireless connections to WiDi enabled displays simple and eliminating more cable clutter.

In a recent internal benchmark, the ThinkCentre M900 Tiny outperformed its nearest competitors by up to 48 percent and the first generation Tiny by 128 percent, thanks in part to support for new PCIe storage that offers up to 80 percent better performance than standard solid state drives. ThinkCentre Tiny series also stakes a claim to be the world's most "dust free" desktop. ThinkPad YOGA 260 and 460 starting prices are $949 and $1049 respectively. The ThinkPad Yoga 260 will be available beginning in November in select countries while the ThinkPad YOGA 460 will be available starting in October in select countries and January in North America with enterprise features. Silver models will also be available from January 2016.

The OneLink+ Dock and Pro WiDi Adapter will be available in Q4 2015. Prices will be released closer to availability.

ThinkCentre M900z will be available in selected countries from November with a starting price of $929.

ThinkCentre M900 Tower and Small Form Factor will be available in selected countries from Q4 2014 with starting prices of $799 and $779 respectively.

ThinkCentre M900, M700, M600 Tiny desktops will be available in selected countries from Q4 2015 with a starting price of $749, $499 and $399 respectively.

Lenovo today announced at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show its new lineup of YOGA convertibles and tablets with new technologies that take flexibility and interactivity to a new level. The family includes the thin and light YOGA 3 in 11-in and 14-in models (in a 13-in chassis) built especially for today's on-the-go and digitally-hungry consumers; the ThinkPad YOGA, optimized for businesses in a 12-in model, and a 14-in and 15-in model for pro-sumers with optional Intel RealSense 3D camera; and the 8-in YOGA Tablet 2 with Windows, featuring Lenovo AnyPen Technology, that turns nearly any pen into a tablet writing tool.







No More Fingers, Lenovo AnyPen Technology Turns Pens and Pencils into Tablet Writing Tools
The 8-in YOGA Tablet 2 with Windows featuring AnyPen Technology extends the YOGA family tradition: the hardware not only adapts to users with its four modes, but it also provides a new, innovative writing solution that gives users a better way to interact with their device and distinguishes it from other tablets today.

With Lenovo AnyPen Technology, any pen or pencil1 becomes a handwriting tool - no stylus needed. Consumers can pick their preferred tool and use it directly on the tablet's touch screen for easy navigation instead of relying on their finger. Lenovo AnyPen Technology makes handwriting on a tablet now as intuitive as writing on a piece of paper.
