Windows 10: Issues with features update 1809

After update to features version 1909, Edge can malfunction immediately on some devices. I also noticed issues with PLAY store and there may be others I have failed to notice. The error occurs on opening Edge with a screen that says OPPS something went wrong with an error code that fundamentally tells us Edge did not reach the internet. Calling tech support after no success with email and automated troubleshooters resulted in a recommendation to reset Edge or reset the PC. I refused due to potential lost data and a belief that the issue is the update with no reload necessary. Tech support took me through process of rolling back the update to a previous load using settings, update, recovery, reset and it worked, Edge is fully functional.


Issue: This is the third time updates have caused major functionality issues on my devices. I had to load Chrome to reach Microsoft as their recommended support functions require a working browser. Catch 22!!! This is Unsat. I work with other users and a common browser and office have advantages I wish to retain, but if this continues, another browser is a good answer. Please fix the update QA and testing process. Immediately, admit the issues, notify the support staff (tech support did not, or did not admit knowing of this issue) and provide fixes soonest. In this case, roll back should have been automatic and within hours not days. Customers should have been notified of the issue and the fix before they try to fix things that are not broken.

Windows Feature update 1809

Hi there,

Once the windows feature update 1809 update released I downloaded and installed it on my computer and I didn't faced any issues. Due to upgrade process I wiped my windows and reinstalled it again. But currently I have 1803 feature update and cant get the
1809 update in the control panel as well as the windows 10 update assistant. When will be the 1809 update will be releasing?

Insiders are testing a modified release of Windows 10 1809 feature update and the release will happen in due time. The Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro N edition (1809 build) will be available for download once the feature update is pushed.



The new official release of the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro 1809 N edition will be listed under
Media Feature Pack list for Windows N editions once released.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
