Windows 10: Problems with device recognition

Hi all,


after the brilliant advice I had from here in reference to my 1803 update black screen, my laptop has worked brilliantly ever since.


BUT


the one thing I hadn’t done was try to connect either my iphone or my WD Passport. My iphone is not recognised in explorer which is a minor problem in comparison with the Passport where the light is on and I can hear it spinning but it doesn’t recognise the drive and I can’t access anything. In fact when I click on This PC in file explorer it just hangs and then crashes.

I would suggest you to follow the steps to see Advance speech options.

• Press Windows+X key on the keyboard
• Click on control panel
• Select speech recognition
• On the left hand pane you will see Advance speech option

Facial recognition

We need to do further investigation on your concern so that we will know why the facial recognition quit working:

• Have you recently made any changes/updates prior to this issue?
• Is there an error message when you try to sign using facial recognition?
• What is the make and model of your computer?
