Windows 10: Windows cannot access \\ Permission issues only in windows 10

Discus and support Windows cannot access \\ Permission issues only in windows 10 in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I have an issue when I update my .exe programs on a network share...     I have an issue when I update my .exe programs on a network share... After updating these apps my windows 10 machine give an error saying cannot access no permissions... Keep in mind the users have no issues connecting to the share but only get this error on the actual .exe file... If i reboot the windows 10 machine everything works perfectly until of course i update the .exe on the share gain..... This was never an issue in the past so something must have changed with an update or something..... I have 90+ windows 7 machines that never have this issue, all they need to do is close out the .exe that was updated and reopen and have no problems.... I have 10+ windows 10 and all of them have this problem... So as of right now I believe it to be a windows 10 only problem....


    Can someone please help me out here? I hate to keep asking my clients to reboot over and over becuase of an update to my .exe on the network share.

    Windows 10 permissions...

    Ok so I feel officially dumb I am trying to copy my steam library to my NAS. Both are on windows 10 pro and both have full control in the file manager. Neither windows nor fast copy will allow me to copy, both list a permissions error? This was never an issue with windows 7...so first off thank you microsoft god forbid I want to back up my data, second off what the heck do I need to do to make this work. All I could fine online was to set full control and that obviously didn't help.

    Also robocopy doesn't apparently work with network locations?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 permissions...

    How is the NAS on windows 10 Pro? Is it software or a share? Did you check ntfs vs share permissions?
