  1. BSOD - cant boot - No More IRCP Stack Locations

    Hi All,

I am usually a self serve type of person, but this topic has me stumped. Last night I was completing a small task of watching a movie and simply removed the rendered subtitles. The PC then crashed with a BSOD that I have had a few times...a Kernel error. I think this has something to do with a sound driver, but I cannot be sure yet.

Usually the PC would just restart and fire up as normal. However this time the computer would not restart, and before the login screen I received a BSOD that I have not recieved "No More IRCP Stack Locations". This BSOD appears every time I reboot.

    Thus far I have:

Run a Memtest86 on the memory = 3x passes with no reported errors

Booted to safe mode (PC starts ok)

Recovered the DMP files etc (see below)

Tried recovering to a restore date from 4 days ago (which had started properly)

I have installed and opened WinDB Preview (but I have to admit that I have no clue what to look for).

Any help would be really appreciated, particularly in two areas:

    1. Give me any insight into what I can do to get the PC up and running again (other than just completely wiping it!)

    2. Point me to any online resources that could help me understand how to read the DMP files in future - if you can indicate roughly how you diagnosed this issue for me, it would be a great case study for me to learn in the future.

Thanks so much for your help and have a great holiday break.

    Thanks,

    Jon

  3. STACK PLAYER REMOVAL

    Follow the steps here.

    https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-stack-player-ads/

If it is not listed in the Control Panel, or it can't be removed there, move on to step 2. You might be able to skip the step with HitmanPro. (30 day free trial if needed)
