Windows 10: Malwarebytes stopped working properly after recent Windows 8.1 update

Discus and support Malwarebytes stopped working properly after recent Windows 8.1 update in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I have Malwarebytes Premium 3.6.1 which worked until just recently.     Malwarebytes stopped working properly after recent Windows 8.1 update


    I have Malwarebytes Premium 3.6.1 which worked until just recently. Following a update of Windows 8.1, I cannot turn on the Malware Protection layer. Its still scans my files.

    How do I get Malwarebytes to work again?

    I agree 8 is awful! It's not for me though... I replaced a broken screen in a Win 8 laptop that was given to me and I am going to give it for free to someone that can't afford one so they can do homework at home. Yes I took it from 8 to 8.1 back on 10/09/2014. This is what I posted there...

    I would like to say that KB2917499 may also be needed as it was in my case. I also had to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter after installing those 2 updates. After these steps I was able to begin my 8.1 download from the Microsoft store. I don't know if it made a difference or not, but I also went into the Bios and disabled "Secure Boot."

    AMD processor has stopped working properly

    1. Go to www.amd.com and download the most current drivers for your card and operating system.

    2. In Windows 7 go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and features. In Windows XP go to Start > Control Panel > Add and remove programs

    3. Look for AMD Catalyst Install Manager in the list of installed programs. Right click on it and select "Change".

    3A. If you don't find the AMD Catalyst Install Manager then most likely you're using the default Windows drivers which are severely outdated. If that's the case skip to step 5.

    4. Select the third option "Uninstall all the AMD software". Follow the instructions. Restart your PC.

    5. Go to your downloads folder and run the driver installer you downloaded in step 1. Select express installation and follow the instructions. Restart your PC after installing.
