Windows 10: 0% battery Asus S4100V

Here's the youtube video I uploaded, hope it helped a bit, in which a I tried one solution in this community that didn't work and shut my laptop down.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcbiAHHIsu4When I reenable the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery", my laptop just immediately shut down as shown in the video.My Laptop is Asus S4100V, I am not so sure if I should take out the battery since it's not external, I need to screw all the way down and carefully take it out.It's already up to date according to the promptI also troubleshooted the power, which surprisingly fixed something, b

No Battery Is Detected error on ASUS Laptop

My Asus battery says no battery is detected even after I followed these same steps. I have tried a lot of different ways but it still shows the same thing. What do I do?

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ASUS Smart Gesture\AsTPCenter\x64\AsusTPCenter.exe changed policy. In that case Battery level is jumping from 0 to 100 again and again

I understand that Battery level is jumping to 100 from 0, In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, we would need some information.

1. What is the model of the PC?
2. Are you aware of any recent changes made on your PC?
3. What is the version and build of you operating system? In the
   Search box, type winver
   to get this info.
4. May I know if the battery consumption is too high while ASUS smart gesture is enabled?
5. Is the battery level displayed incorrectly?

I suggest you to try the following methods and check:



Method 1: Run the Power troubleshooter.



Select the Startbutton, and then select
Settings >
Update & Security >
Troubleshoot >
Power>
Run the troubleshooter.



Method 2: Change power plans – Balanced (Recommended)



Click Settings and select
System.

Click on Power & sleep, choose
Additional power settings.

Check Balanced Power settings as default.



Method 1: Reinstall Battery driver.

1. Select Start .
   
2. In the search box on the taskbar, type
   device manager
   
3. Click the "Batteries" section. A list of devices will appear.
   
4. Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" device and click "Uninstall."
   
5. Click the "Action" menu item and "Scan for Hardware Changes" to reinstall the driver.
   

Method 2: Reinstall Asus Smart Gesture.

1. Type Control Panelin the search box and click the result.
   
2. Select Uninstall a program.
   
3. Locate ASUS Smart Gesturein the list and right-click it to uninstall the program.

Battery Won't Charge Fully

Make sure to install all Windows important updates.

Install latest versions of your laptop device drivers you can download the latest device drivers from the device manufacturer or from your laptop manufacturer website.


Step 1

1. Shutdown your laptop.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Connect the AC power adapter to your laptop.

4. Power on the laptop

5. Open the Device Manager by typing Devmgmt.msc into Start Menu or from Control Panel.

6. Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s ok if you only have 1).





7. Shutdown the laptop.

8. Insert the battery.

9. Power on the laptop.

If above suggestions wont resolve the battery charge issue then follow below steps.




Step 2

1. Shutdown the laptop.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Start the laptop with only AC adapter connected to laptop.

4. When you login to Windows OS connect the battery while Windows OS working.





Step 3

Reset the System Management Controller. Use one of these methods to reset the SMC, which controls battery management, battery status light.

1. Shut down the computer and disconnect the power cord.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Press and hold the power button for ten seconds.

4. Reattach the battery and AC power adapter, then start up the laptop.


Hopefully one of the above suggestions will help you resolve the battery not charging problem. If battery still doesn't charge, you may need to replace your battery.
