Windows 10: 0x000007b and mfperhelper.dll missing errors

Hi,

I've been trying to play FFXIV for a couple months now, without success. Seems like an update crashed the game.


I get the error 0x000007b at first, and when I try adding .dll files, it gives me this other error, mfperhelper.dll missing.


I found this thread but the solution did not help, neither every suggestion I found on YouTube, on SquareEnix forums and on reddit.

Square Enix tells me it is a Windows issue.


All drivers are up to date. Win too.

Error 0x000007b help me find way to fix please.


Hello everyone. I keep getting error 0x000007b when I try to run some applications. I did the steps to drag the dlls in syswow64 and win32. I just dont have permission for a file but I already have it. It changes nothing when I put the files in there. Please help, i need to run this application and I keep getting this error.

DLL Missing

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.
