    So i have bought a game in the microsoft store and it needs xbox live but when i go to sign in it gives me an 0x406 error i have tried uninsalling and insalling the xbox and it didn't seem to help. Thank you for your support

    hello microsoft, every time i try to login to my xbox app on windows 10 it says error (0x406).

    would someone please help me?

    This shows how to fix the 0x406 error for the Xbox app on windows 10. Below you will find the commands that you will need for to put into windows PowerShell.

    ***POWERSHELL MUST BE RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR EVERY TIME***

    Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage

    Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

    (Restart your computer)

    Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    Once this has been done the Xbox App should work just fine.

    With the exception of rebooting after

    Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage

    ...your post was perfect. I haven't had any Windows 10 to XBox One

    Scripts are perfect, suggest anyone getting the 0x406 error run Jessen's fix
