    Hello .

    This is an update for OS Builds 18362.836 and 18363.836, I have build 18363.778.

    How to solve this problem so that it does not try to install this update?

    Hello kris,

    the Error Code 0x800f0984 means PSFX_E_MATCHING_BINARY_MISSING (Matching component directory exist but binary missing).

    The quickest and best way to fix the error is to perform an Inplace upgrade/Repair installation.

    Have you installed a 3rd party Antivirus and/or Firewall Program and/or Tuning Tools? When yes, please remove this. Please use the removal tool of the respective manufacturer of the antivirus or firewall program also. A list can be found at the link below.

    After that starts a Windows Repair Installation.

    Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade
