    the Error Code 0x800f0984 means PSFX_E_MATCHING_BINARY_MISSING (Matching component directory exist but binary missing).

    The quickest and best way to fix the error is to perform an Inplace upgrade/Repair installation.

    Have you installed a 3rd party Antivirus and/or Firewall Program and/or Tuning Tools? When yes, please remove this. Please use the removal tool of the respective manufacturer of the antivirus or firewall program also. A list can be found at the link below.

    After that starts a Windows Repair Installation.

    Update KB4571756 reaches 100% installing and fails with error 0x800f0984.

    I can't seem to install the update through windows update standalone installer nor through windows update
