    0x800f0987 and similar errors with 2020-04 cumulative update


    I have been trying to get the update over the past few days because it has been detrimental on PC performance CPU and disk regularly ROCKETING up to 100% without warning or apparent cause, and the only thing that I could work out is the update is causing the issue.


    I have tried almost everything I can find on both Microsoft and non-microsoft forums to no avail, and am rather distressed by this, as I need a functional PC for both School and leisure, which has gotten MUCH more PC intensive considering the lockdown. What can I do to fix this?


    I have included my specs in case there is some issue I have accidentally overlooked Not enough space without it telling me, drivers I can't see need updates, because I need this problem to be fixed asap.
