Windows 10: 0x803FABC3

hello, after installing a new motherboard, the activation of windows has crashed and gives an error 0x803FABC3

Transfer Of Windows License To New PC Not Working

Hi,

I used to use Windows 10 Home on my old PC. My license was associated with my Microsoft account. I built a new Windows 11 Home PC, and then logged into it with the same Microsoft account. Windows activated successfully on the new PC. I did numerous Window Updates, and it reported I needed to activate my Windows all of a sudden.

When I try to reactivate, it takes me through a trouble-shooter where I tell it I've changed my hardware (which in theory I have, since I'm not longer going to use my old PC). It then lists only my old PC and tells me what PC do I wish to activate. My new PC name isn't listed. If I select my old PC it tells me there's an issue and to to contact Microsoft support, but they're not answering my email 5 days later. The error I get from the trouble shooter is 0x803FABC3. I've tried unregistering Windows on my old PC successfully, but activation on the new PC still doesn't work. I've tried supplying my product key in the activation screen in settings, and it gives me error 0x803fa067. My license was originally a Windows 8 Home Retail license.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do? Or how to contact Microsoft when they're not answering emails (

Cannot activate Windows 11 after installing on wrong drive then reinstalling onto correct drive

I recently purchased a new NVME SSD and installed it into my system. My system before upgrade consisted of a SATA SSD (was the boot drive) and a HDD.

I then unfortunately installed windows 11 and successfully activated it on my empty hard drive instead of my new NVME SSD. Not my best moment!

I have subsequently removed the hard drive from the system (I intend to wipe it and sell it so it's currently in my cupboard) as well as the SATA SSD (also in the cupboard but as a backup) that the original Windows 11 install was on. I then installed Windows 11 onto the correct drive but now it refuses to activate.

No matter what I try (I have gone through all the Microsoft activation trouble shooters about new hardware) nothing seems to work. I am based in South Africa and we don't have a dedicated call centre. I've tried entering my cell number to receive a support call but so far (about a month) nothing has come through from them.

I get the error codes "0x803FABBA" or "0x803FABC3" depending on which side of the bed windows woke up on that day. I have tried all the solutions posted for those codes. Any further ideas would be appreciated.
