Windows 10: 0xc000007b error, process monitor mentions mscvr120.dll

I cannot open GeometryDash.exe because I get a 0xc000007b error. It has always worked on my laptop Windows 11 64bit however starting yesterday it no longer opens. I tried various different approaches to try and get this fixed .NET framework reinstallation, directX repair, various VC++ redistributables including 2012, 2013, 2015-2022 and nothing works. I watched one video where the microsoft process monitor is used and it's a very helpful tool that's basically my only hope of solving this issue. There were a lot of entries regarding msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll in the game folder itself s

0xC000007B on Game Applications

Regarding Epic Games Launcher, I'm unsure if you've tried the fix on the webpage I posted. Let me post the steps here.

• Download EpicGamesLauncher.zip unzip the contents to a folder.
  
• Copy the DLLs under x64 folder to Windows\System32. Overwrite existing files.
  
• Copy the DLLs under x86 folder to Windows\SysWOW64. Overwrite existing files.
  

 

Payday 2 says MSCVR120.dll is missing but it's on my computer

So I just bought Payday 2 today, but it couldn't launch because it said MSCVR120.dll was not found, even though it was already in my System32 folder.

 

0xc000007b Error


I upgraded to Windows 10 today with no major issues. However, I have been receiving the 0xc000007b error for ColorUService and APSDaemon.exe at start up. I receive the same error when launching Origin from EA Games and any related game.

I talked to the techs at EA Games and they suggested using CCleaner prior to uninstalling Origin with Rivo Uninstaller. At this point I downloaded a fresh copy of Origin. The installation failed because the 0xc000007b error popped up.

I looked in several webpages concerning the error. The suggested fixes were for Windows 7/8/8.1. The ones I tried did not work.

My email program did not work correctly. I fixed this by downloading Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

I have a Asus laptop, N750JK, with Windows 10 installed, Invidia GForce 850M, 16 GB Ram.

Is there a fix for the 0xc000007b error for Windows 10?
