    0xc000012f error regarding uxtheme.dll


    Hello,


    I encounter 0xc000012f error regarding uxtheme.dll. It happened after the last system update.


    I found a lot of possible solutions to the problem, but none of them works I scanned the disk for viruses, I did sfc/scannow, I tried to remove latest system updates - however, after that I can't shut down the computer with installing them again, so this is pointless; newest updates don't fix the issue, too.


    What I want to try now is installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files.
    The problem is that when I download .exe installation program, I get 0xc000012f error, so I get stuck and can't fix the root cause because of the error itself.

    Do you have any recommendations on how to proceed?

    Bad Image MSVCP120.dll and MSVCP140.dll with ERROR 0xc000012f with several .exe files - acrobat, HRBlock, icloudservices, etc. This is a Windows 7 machine that was updated to Windows 10.
