Windows 10: 1/3 of my screen is unresponsive primarily on the left side, but only on desktop??

I tried to insert some pictures to help explain but it keeps giving me an error. Basically, I have desktop icons spanning 4 columns from the top to the bottom on the left side of the screen. I can't select them at all, not even the slight outline comes up when I hover over them. I can't even bring up the blue select box. This seems to be happening about a third of the way into the screen from the left side. The entire right side, as well as the taskbar work just fine. This only happens on desktop. In an app, in a browser, etc. I can click anywhere. I'm at a loss for why 1/3 of my screen is com

I suggest you to change the resolution of the screen by following the below steps and check if it helps.

• Right click on Desktop and select “Display Settings”.
• Under Display settings click on “Advanced Display Settings”.
• Under resolution select the resolution which is feasible and save the changes.

Cannot put icons on the left side of my desktop

Hi Charlie,

You should be able to arrange your desktop icons however you want. Since you want them all aligned on the left side of your desktop screen, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Right-click at a blank area on your desktop.
• Hover on View.
• In the right pane, look for Auto arrange icons. If it's checked, make sure to uncheck it.
• Hover again on View.
• This time, check Align icons to grid. Your icons should now be aligned on the left side of the screen.

How to set up 2 additional monitors (3 screens in total)?

Most of the time this issue occurs due to setting configuration. As an initial troubleshooting, I suggest you to follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click System.
3. On the left-panel, choose Display.
4. All three screens should be displayed there, but you may see that one is disconnected.
5. Click on the screen that is disconnected or just a dark display and choose Extend desktop to this display option.

In addition, you might also check at your graphic card's control panel, such as Nvidia Control Panel, and configure the settings.
