Windows 10: 1 Fingerprint setup not working 2 Slideshow lock screen not working

1 I just got my laptop back and I can't seem to set up my fingerprint recognition. I go to settings>accounts>sign-in options then select "Windows Hello Fingerprint". I type in my pin, then it says to "swipe your finger on the fingerprint sensor" my fingerprint sensor is on the right of my laptop. When I swipe on it, nothing pops up. Usually you would see a big fingerprint on the screen, and as you swipe your finger, a color fills the lines of the fingerprint. I was wondering if anyone could help with that.


2 I go to settings>personalization>lock screen and then select "slideshow" under the bolded "background". I select the folder that I have compiled for my lock screen background, but nothing seems to be working. Is there any reason why that is happening?

Lock screen slideshow not working (intermittant!)


I have spent days on the net trying to find a solution to my problem.
When I first setup the slideshow it worked fine.
Then, out of the blue, it stopped working (due to an update I thought)
But since then it comes and goes. It can work for a few hours but soon goes back to sleep mode instead of the lock screen slideshow!
I’ve triple checked the settings, uninstalled and reinstalled the slideshow, changed the image folder etc.
I’ve even changed and re-changed the NoLockScreen setting in the registry.
In short, nothing works.
Has anybody any new ideas on the matter?

So i just tried the lock screen slideshow when the date changed to march 1st and now it works again, WTF?

  Type Lock screen in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Select Advanced Slideshow settings
  
• 
  Click on Turn off screen after slideshow has played for and select the time limit
