Windows 10: 1. Missing slide show bar "Microsoft Photos". 2. Drag and drop not working for "Google...

Hello,I have noticed two issues after the latest Update from Windows 10 to Windows 11, in my laptop.1. The slide show bar is missing in "Microsoft Photos". This I noticed from the day I upgraded my operating system from Windows 10 to Windows 11. It appeared accidentally once. But not appearing at all now. Where it has gone? I tried to repair the app, and resetting the app. Nothing has given the desired results. 2. I cann't drag and drop the images into "Google images" search bar, but I can upload. even this problem also has cropped after the upade. I serched for help to rollback to Windows 10.

Hi Charles,

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

Hey,

Use the following steps:

Navigate to Settings>Personalize>Background

Under background,

In the drop down list select Slide show.

Photos slide show not working properly

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern and frustration you have been through. I will be glad to assist you.

1. Which application are you using to view the photos slideshow?

As a work around. I suggest you to create new folder and copy few pictures and check that slide show is working correctly.

If issue persists follow Steps below and check.

I would suggest you to reset the Windows explorer. Please follow the steps:

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and locate for Windows Explorer.

2. Right click on the Windows Explorer and click on End task.

3. On top of the Task Manager click on File and click on
Run new task.

4. Type explorer.exe inside the box and hit Enter.

If the issue is with Photo app you may try running the photo app troubleshooter and check.
