  1. 10 second pause between initial and final rendering of external photos

On Windows 10 Version 21H1 after the 2021-07 KB4023057 update followed by 2021-08 KB5005033 update the rendering of external photos ex. from a USB connected iPhone has slowed drastically. On clicking any image in File Explorer the initial blurry image is rendered very quickly but then there is a 10 seconds pause before all the pixels are rendered to create the actual sharp image. There is no delay in rendering photos stored on the hard disk. I tried changing the cable used to connect the iPhone to a brand new one but the problem persisted. I then tried a different computer but got the exact

  2. Stuck at OneDrive screen during Surface Pro 6 initial setup

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    Try the below suggested steps.

    Method 1

    1. Unplug all the external devices except Mouse and Keyboard.
    2. Try to reboot the device and check the status of the issue.
    Method 2

I would suggest you to perform Power drain by following the suggested steps.

    1. Press and hold the Power Button down for 30-40 seconds.
    2. Hold the Volume Rocker up and Power ON for almost 20 second.
    3. Release the power button and wait for next 10-15 seconds.
    4. Press the power button to turn on your Surface and check the status of the issue.

    Hope it helps.

  3. External monitor is blurry

    Hi,

The blurry display when using an external display may indicate a scaling issue. If the display of the internal monitor is not compatible with the external monitor, it may render a poor or fuzzy display. As an initial step, we suggest that you try the methods
under the Workaround section provided on this
    support article
    .

Let us know should you need further assistance.

    External drive

    Hi Richard,

There are several factors that can cause your external drive to not read DVDs even though the system is recognizing the device. This could be caused by a driver that needs to updated or corrupted files. For us to resolve your concern, kindly answer the questions
    below:

    • Just to confirm, the device that is not working properly is a external DVD optical drive?
    • Were there any recent changes or updates installed on your computer?
    • Have you tried to plug the external drive to a different port on your computer?

As a initial recommendation, we suggest that your run the built in troubleshooter in Windows 10. Kindly refer to the steps below:

    • Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search bar and press Enter.
    • Click on “View All” in the top left corner.
    • This will display the list of troubleshooters which are built-in in the computer. You can click on
Hardware and Devices from the list and you can run the troubleshooter.

This will check for common errors that affect hardware on your computer and attempts to correct them.

We look forward to your response after completing the steps.
