Windows 10: 100% cpu usage after windows update. Issue started d. 10/10-2018

Hi everyone


Im having isses with my cpu. It goes to 100% as i log into windows.

Fans is at max speed and the cpu heats up.

This all started d. 10/10 after a window update.

i have scanned my computer by Norton and 4-5 other programs but no virus found.

Reset my Bios and updated Bios to newest version. Reinstalled windows 2 times.

Tried changing power settings from balance to high performance and to power saving.

I can get my cpu down to 47% usage by lowing the max percentage of the cpu.. at least the fans wont spin like crazy.





As you see in Task cpu is at 100%



But thats not what ProcessExplorer shows.

cpu usage at 100%

CPU usage at 100% from start up for no apparently good reason. Service Host appears to be the problem but I cant narrow it down more than that at present.

Any suggestions?

I am using Windows 10 full release version 64 bit.

In the Task Manager, under Performance tab, the disk utilization reaches to 100% due to which system became lagging and unresponsive. It started freezing in few moments and this keeps happening until disk usage reduces from 100%.

Control panel > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > Processor Power Management > Maximum Processor state.

Also, once I start Chrome 64, it uses lots of cpu and ram to do absolutely nothing.

I tried all above method you mentioned but still my newly installed windows 10 pro without any software or app running. CPU usage is 100%. I also attached the snap shot of task manager.

brother i just switch from windows 8.1 which was running very fine. but as I update to windows 10 after 3-4 days CPU usage to 100%. then I Created the Bootable usb of windows 10. and installed new windows yesterday. But still my CPU usage is 100% .

Processor i5 2310

Ram 8GB
