    100% Disk Usage After Windows 10 Upgrade


    Just upgraded Windows 7 to 10 and wondering if it's normal for it to be slow at first or if the slowness will subside such that there is more housekeeping going on in the background after an upgrade. I've read I should do a full reset and reinstall but would like to know if I can avoid this.


    It's on an HP 500-281. An older PC but it should still run OK with the specs.

    100% disk usage

    The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.
