Windows 10: 100% disk usage almost all the time

so recently I've noticed everything on my computer become incredibly slow, opening task manager I noticed that my disk usage was at 100% very consistently, usually because of the "system" process, or some other windows related process. after trying basically everything else be seen online about the issue like disabling superfetch and windows search nothing seems to work, does anyone know how to fix this?

Disk usage is 100% all the time

Ive been having the same issue. Windows10 is designed to be FAST. It is the slowest thing. How can we fix this issue? 100% disk usage is horrible. Ive done all the things suggested above as well. There has to be another solution to our issue.

Hi,

I have Dell Inspiron 5421 with Windows 10 version 1511 build 10586.218, to which I recently upgraded (around 2 weeks ago). Since then, my disk usage always stays in the 97-100% range. These are the tasks I've noticed to frequently consume the resources:

• System and compressed memory
• Background Task Host
• McAfee Service Host

Other processes which stay at the top (disk usage) in Task Manager usually have a name ending with some 'Background Task Host' or 'Host' too. It didn't use to happen with earlier version of Windows 10.

What can be causing this? How can I solve this as my laptop keeps heating up due to this?

i have a issue of 100% usage of disk shows in task manager all time and i think it slows down my laptop

and everything is starts not responding
