Windows 10: 100% disk usage causing constant freezing

    100% disk usage causing constant freezing


    So I’ve had this issue for around a year and a half where I get 100% disk usage on either my ssd or my hard drive, and it causes applications to freeze for 1-30 seconds, it happens constantly and have tried many things to fix it(reset virtual memory, disabled windows superfetch, disabled diagtrack and reinstalled windows) as this issue occurs both on my hard drive and ssd I have assumed it is not a hard ware issue, if anyone has any advice on what to do or any applications that could pinpoint the issue, any help would be appreciated

    100% disk usage

    The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

    100% disk usage causing constant freezing

    100% DISK USAGE

    in safe mode, there was still lag and the memory usage in taskbar showed a constant 27%.in normal mode,the memory usage is around 50% constant and disk 100%.
