Windows 10: 100% disk usage even when I have lots of disk space

    100% disk usage even when I have lots of disk space


    My task manager is constantly at 100 percent disk, and it really effects performance. I have lots of disk space so why is this a problem? It's really annoying, sometimes I get a bit of time where it's at 30 percent or so but then it goes back up to 100%. I've had this problem for a while, how can I fix it?

    100% disk usage

    The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

    So recently I updated a lot of content inside my computer and I have a problem with 100% disk usage.

    I've tried a lot of things for days to get rid of 100% disk usage and nothing has worked.

    Please help!
