Windows 10: 100% disk usage in the task manager.. freezes my computer

Any help would be highly appreciated!!1


I have updated the windows with the fall creators in Jan/Feb 2018 and from then 100% disk usage problem started which made my laptop useless..


i have tried many solutions to bring it back to normal but nothing worked so far.


here are few solutions i have tried:


1. disable windows search, superfetch


2. disk check


3. changed the MSI to 0


4. stopped all apps & services(except Microsoft services) at start-up.


5. reset the pc multiple times.


6. cleaned all temp and log files.


and turned off flash in google chrome and there is no skype so no need to any thing with that and even tried some other solutions too which gave a temporary solution and when the pc restarts it again starts..


my configuration:


HP notebook I5 fifth gen 8gb 1TB AMD graphics card.

and i have nearly 800gb space left in my drive..



Thanks in advance I want some help to resolve this.. I asked Microsoft support team and they are worried about money rather than solution.

Task manager showing disk usage 100%

100% disk usage can have many causes.

What are the top 5 processes listed in the task manager using the disk?

 

System freezes and shows 100% disk usage on Windows 10.

My computer freezes and my task manager shows 100% disk usage. I turned off superfetch, updated all my drivers, and screamed at my computer multiple times without results.

Task Manager has Disk at 100% when only 0 - 3 mg are shown as used

I have:

1) Formatted my disk and partitioned it as needed for Windows 10

1) Installed Windows 10 Home Edition 64 bit

2) Disabled Superfetch

3) Disabled Windows Search

4) Disabled BITS

5) Uninstalled Skype and SkypeHost.exe

6) Set MSISupported to "0" in registry

After each step I would reboot my computer and get the same problem 100% Disk in Task Manager

2) Installed Norton Antivirus and disabled Windows Defender and rebooted.

1) The system booted and hit 100% in Task Manager for about 5 minutes.

2) Attempted to open Windows Notepad and the Task Manager went back to 100% Disk.

In all instances the Task Manager Disk Listing would show between 0.3 and 2.5 total usage and still show the Disk at 100% on the top freezing the computer.
