Windows 10: 100% disk usage + thank you to MS for Past 25 years

I would like to thank Microsoft for my constant high disk 100% usage and all the services that i dont want enabled that are from boot.



I would also like to thank them for stress testing all my HDD to the point they break due to all the services enabled


Cant wait for you competitor to finally catch up on the OS side of things im a long term user of windows since about 3.1 and ive slowly watched you ruin your own image to the point of no return on fones, PC's wont be far behind


before you start giving it check this, check that. Ive used numerous HDD's all suffer with high Disk usage on first boot all from clean installs. ive even went lunix and scanned the HDD to see if they are failing they are not, until ive installed windows and you ram my disk up to full tilt. for the first 30 mins on boot my cpu usage never gets to 5% memory 7%


fx 8 core

32 gb ram

about 10+ sata 7200 rpm HDDs all 100% usage on first boot

geforce 1030

850w psu


so on to my question i want to disable all known Microsoft services that are non essential. any chance of a list??????????

Routing and remote access

All of the xbox pish!!!!! God i hate how you now prioritise your money making **** on us!!!!

Parental controls

Windows media player services



The list goes on and on and on if i wanted this stuff usually i would download and install. It dont need be pre installed or running stuff i dont need or care for now takes 3-4 hours per install instead of the 15 mins xp we used to get my how i miss the old days when you had to install stuff yourself. God help us all!


Also i thank you for this Windows 10 been free as i would not even pay 1 dime for this junk.

When are you removing edge from pre-installs and why have you not learned the lesson from internet explorer?

Stick to what your good @ "windows" leave everything else alone concentrate on fixing the major issues coz right now your failing and just annoying the **** out of people and once customers are gone there extremely hard to gain back.


I love Microsoft but past the 10 years............. now ur just that fly you want someone to come along and swat!

100% disk usage

The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

• Did the issue happen after installing the Fall Creators?
• Did you receive any error messages?
• Can you send us the screenshot of the Task Manager showing the 100% disk usage and memory usage?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
