    100% disk use fault shows in task master.


    1 Something is jamming up my disk and application programs. Is there a way to prevent hogging of disk channel?

    This machine has had SFC and DISM run already.


    Also, background programs hogging internet bandwidth. I already had that problem with google sync suspended and

    one-drive sync/backup Istopped


    I notice that there are lots of resident processes loading without me initiating them, or terminating and staying resident.

    many have little green leaves beside them, which seems to mean they are suspended to save resources. Phone app is a main offender.

    I don't use it, Also, I have a half-uninstalled motorolla phone app that possibly needs fully killing??


    2 I am having a problem with desktop .url files. This may be related to one-drive.

    My main desktop now defaults to c:\users\chris\onedrive\desktop

    can the default assignment be changed?


    I am not using sync, backup, and one-drive is stopped but still installed. It seems to have registered itself as a remote process, and runs that way to join up with my desktop.


    It causes confusion if I am using multiple PCs with different user names but the same microsoft account, and mainly the same data.

    Possibly I am not using it properly.


    Use of desktop and lower folder level .url files is mostly now queried on every use, but not all desktop .url files

    I see that the old control panel controls for file extension program defaults has been removed. Are these two things related?


    I have a one-drive support query running on this "feature".

    Clean install, disk usage at 100%

    I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.
