    Issue Symptom:I get 100% disk utilization on C: drive that lasts up to 10 mins every time i boot into windows.It started happening a couple of years ago now at least but I've just put up with it but now I just want to get to the bottom of it.It means there is severe latency trying to do anything else whilst the disk is being read in this period.I have used two different motherboards and the issue has persistedEven after a clean install of windows 10 the issue was still thereIssue occurs across different windows accountsThe issue starts from before you log into windows at the login screen, you

    Disk utilization 100% in Task manager

    My laptop shows 100% disk utilization in the task manager for the first 20-30 mins after I start my machine. During this time when it is 100%, system performance is very slow. After 30 mins, disk utilization drops again under 20% and everything is normal.

    I tried reaching out to Microsoft help a couple of times in the past and they suggested me to update my windows. That may have resolved the issue temporarily for few days but it starts behaving like this again.

    Windows 10 Dell Laptop is always running very slow due to 100% disk utilization even at startup. Task manager shows Google Chrome as the biggest utilizer even though only the home page is up. It is very frustrating as the laptop came with Windows 8 which
    was running smoothly. Problem started once I upgraded to Windows 10. Is there any particular service I need to disable to avoid this 100% disk utilization all the time?
