Windows 10: 100% Disk Utilization/ Usage.

Hello Microsoft community, I am requesting your assistance with a common issue with Windows 10 involving 100% Disk utilization / usage.

I have had this issue for roughly a year and I've come here today to see if I can get any resolution to the problem. I have tried countless solutions, I have reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch countless times, I have tried the typical Disable Superfetch/Sysmain, Disable Antivirus, Disable windows update, Disable Telemetry/DiagTrack, Disable MSISupported, Change Windows Explorer settings, Disable Windows tips, Reset Virtual Memory, I've ran chkdsk along with running a malware/virus scan and none of this fixes have worked for me.

I have regularly updated windows and have tried these fixes with each new version to no avail.

My computer specs are the following:

Ryzen 3 2300X Quad Core
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650
ADATA SU650 SSD 256GB
8GB x2 4GB Corsair Vengeance RAM clocked at 2400MHz
ASUS PRIME A320M-K
System is 64bit

If anybody could possibly help with this issue, It would be much appreciated, As I've tried everything and am not in the financial situation to currently obtain a secondary/replacement hard drive, Thanks!

Clean install, disk usage at 100%

I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.

 

100% disk usage

The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

100% disk usage and memory usage

100% disk usage and memory usage can be caused by a software corruption, running application running on the background and malware or virus infection.

For us to properly isolate the issue and provide an appropriate resolution, kindly answer the questions below:

• Did the issue happen after installing the Fall Creators?
• Did you receive any error messages?
• Can you send us the screenshot of the Task Manager showing the 100% disk usage and memory usage?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
