  1. 1000hz polling rate causes massive fps drop on win10

Any game I play it just halfs my fps whenever I move my mouse. Installed win7, had no issues. Fps remained the same no matter what polling rate I was using. Installed an older version of win10, same problems back again. Searched on google for solutions, tried multiple things but nothing helps. If anyone has any suggestion besides switching to 125hz, please share.

  2. My mouse polling rate restricted to 144hz even tho i have set it up to 1000hz.

I have been restricted to 144HZ of polling rate even after i set it up to 1000hz , initially i thought this might be happening because of my mouse so i tried to test with different mice such as razer lancehead te , zowie za11 , but it shows 144hz polling
rate for all of the mouses irrespective of any configuration i run on (polling rate 125 ,500 or 1000hz), earlier when i was using normal LED tv {60hz 720p(1360*768) 32 inches} , it used to give me the results correctly with 1000 hz and 500 hz of polling rate
as per my polling rate set , but recently when i switched to benq 2411 monitor {144hz 1080(1920*1080) LCD} , my polling rate was limited to 144hz , this might be a silly question but i want to know if there is anything i need to worry about and why am i not
able to achieve 1000hz of polling rate because not having 1000hz of polling rate could lead me to disadvantages in many FPS games.

im using double link dvi cable for my new monitor.

    Hi,

One of the possible reasons why you can’t achieve 1000hz of polling rate is due to an incompatible hardware. To help us determine the appropriate troubleshooting steps, we would like to ask the following questions:

    • What is the make and model of your device?
    • Have you made any recent changes before you encountered this issue?
    • What is the build and version of Windows that you’re using? To check, type
winver in the Search box and send us a screenshot of the information window.
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve your concern?

We look forward to your response.

  4. 1000hz polling rate causes massive fps drop on win10

Word window lags when mouse polling rate 500 or above

I search on reddit and find out this case, I advise you try it.

“it has to do with the mouse and the USB polling frequency

With a Logitech MX518 with 125Hz I had no problems whatsoever. Ever since I switched to a Logitech G502 with 1000Hz these Office applications started to lag when dragging. You can reproduce this by changing the mouse frequency in the mouse drivers from e.g. 1000Hz to 125Hz. The option is called "Report Rate" in the Logitech Gaming Software. Dunno about other vendor's mouse drivers.

In the end I think it's probably a f*ckup between the high polling frequency of the mouse and therefore high update rate of the cursor and Windows' GUI VSync as well as Excel/Word refreshing the content of the window.

edit2 Refreshrate of the monitor does NOT matter. So it's solely the high USB polling rate that's causing this.”
